Terms of Use

These terms cover using this website and visiting KEYCAP in person. They are short on purpose. Booking a key or walking through the door means you are happy to follow them, so we can all share a warm, tidy floor.

booking a key

A booking through this site is a request to hold a seat, and we confirm the good ones by email or phone. Please give accurate details so the seat maps to the right person. If your plans change, tell us early and we will free the key for someone else — no penalty, just courtesy.

book = request a seat + time confirm = we reply to you cancel = tell us early, no fuss

on the floor

Zones carry different vibes for a reason. Home Row is social and can get loud; Numpad is for small groups; Escape is a quiet, single seat. Match your volume to the zone you booked. After 22:00 the whole room goes voice-mute so the late crowd can wind down in peace.

keeping seats tidy

Treat each station like a keyboard you borrowed: leave it as clean as you found it. Cups go on the return rack, wrappers in the bin, and borrowed keyboards back on the test bar. Please do not open or re-lube our house switches without a staff member on hand — the tinker station is there for exactly that.

fair use and safety

KEYCAP is a place to play, relax and enjoy the sound of good keys. It is entertainment only. We may ask anyone to step away for unsafe conduct, harassment or damaging equipment. We keep our machines patched and our peripherals clean, but you use the gear at your own reasonable discretion.

this website

We keep the copy, rates and hours here as accurate as we can, though details can shift — the counter has the final word on prices and availability. The text, images and layout of this site belong to KEYCAP; please do not copy them wholesale for another venue.
